Even more front door
As if the improvement of my new painted front door wasn’t enough I decided to go one step farther and pull off the aluminum siding that was covering the wood trim around the door. I hated the look of it, and was certain there was more character behind it. I was right. It’s difficult to…

Happy Fourth of July!
We had a wonderful 4th of July with Cassie, Doug, and Archer down in Colombus. We heard an amazing drum core, watched some fireworks, played wii, attended the Temple, ate amazing BBQ, visited the zoo, and learned how to play bridge. It was a wonderful weekend on all accounts. Do you have critters?
A friend of my mentioned that her garden was being tormented by small beasts. Rain on beauty
Clematis.I don’t know the variety of this clematis as it was on the half dead rack- and didn’t have a marker. However, I love it! Notice the back left, the paler purple is the remnant of a bloom that lost its pedals several weeks ago, however the middle has remained- as nearly a second bloom.

Fighting back
You may recall that I was having problems with critters in my garden. Maybe you didn’t know that last year I didn’t get a single zucchini because every time the plant would blossom it would get chomped off. So this year I put in some fencing and thus far it looks like I might beat…
