Happy Fourth of July!

We had a wonderful 4th of July with Cassie, Doug, and Archer down in Colombus. We heard an amazing drum core, watched some fireworks, played wii, attended the Temple, ate amazing BBQ, visited the zoo, and learned how to play bridge. It was a wonderful weekend on all accounts. We just love Cassie and Doug and are super sad that their time is Ohio is down to a month.

Archer and Doug at the petting zoo at the Colombus zoo. Arch wasn’t sure about this goat, nor was the goat too sure about Archer.

There was something so hilarious about seeing Archer squat down like this too look between the fence at the goats. It’s hard to believe a tyke his size wouldn’t ever need to be shorter! It was such an adult-ish movement and we all got a good laugh as he didn’t it over and over.

Cassie and Tom playing wii biking. I am not a video games person, not in the slightest. But I’ve gotta say I really enjoy playing wii. We also learned how to play bridge which was surprisingly fun. It reminded me a lot of playing hearts with Getti and Dave in Mexico. I love card games, I hope I can always make that part of my families entertainment.

And a few firecrackers!

It was the perfect way to spend the weekend. Especially since all of my family was together in Utah for a reunion. I love having family nearby, there is just a closeness in family that is hard to find elsewhere.

  1. Looks like a wonderful weekend! I was also shocked by your doppelganger. Maybe you need to do a little geneology and find out if there is a blood connection somewhere.
