Our dear friends Mary and Steve welcomed their little daughter Lydia into the world on Thursday. She’s a doll and has her mother’s gorgeous red hair. Mary and I were roommates in college for two years and have been best friends ever since. Just by chance we got pregnant a month apart. It’s been so fun to go through these past nine months together. We joke that we have a prearranged marriage for Lydia and Scotland. I couldn’t believe how tiny Lydia was, at 6 lbs 14 oz, and 18 inches she made Scotland look and feel so big. When we were leaving one of the nurses said she had to check our carseat to make sure we weren’t stealing a baby. She opened up the cover and said- “Nope! too big to be one of ours.” My little baby is growing up way to fast!
