This afternoon I was out looking for a few long sleeve shirts to decently cover up this belly, and grocery shopping. In the process I had three women comment on my “baby bump” all three smiled and looked absolutely ecstatic for me. Asking when I was due, and whether I was excited. I comfortably said that indeed I was, and they smiled again showing they shared the enthusiasm. One even clapped! Maybe it’s just a coincidence that all three women were black, or maybe babies are more celebrated in black culture. Regardless, it made my day. With a few new shirts to wear, I think I’m set to finish off this last month!

I love your drawings. I hope you turn them into a book for your child to read and enjoy. One month to go and good for you for buying some shirts. The last month is the worst because your belly is always hanging out. I usually just end up wearing dresses and leggings. That way all my bases are covered. I loved your bed drawing, if it were my husband he would be completely uncovered by the blankets. He says he get was too hot sleeping next to me because I put off too much heat when I’m preggo.
Congratulations on entering the last month!!!
I love your little sketches. You are so funny. I can’t believe it’s so soon!!! Can’t wait for the little guy to come!
