A friend told me to never have a summer baby. I hadn’t really thought I was struggling with the pregnancy over heating until the last few weeks. I discovered it like this: first, I went to the opera, where the hall was heated, I wore a thin wool sweater, about thirty minutes in I was fanning myself with the program. By the time intermission came my cheeks were bright red. Second, my brother told me I had better turn up the heat in our house or my visiting nephews were going to die from hypothermia, (It’s too cold, who knew!), and third, I was singing in the Messiah and once again the combination of a heated hall and extra lighting resulted in rosy-red cheeks. Thank goodness I’m having a winter baby!

You know what else? Devin told us that your house was freezing too! I am the exact same way. When we would go to bed, Derek would take an entire extra blanket and put over himself and I would put the fan exactly on me and I would still be hot. It’s amazing how hot those little guys are!
