Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend as a result of many fun guests! Pam/Mom came in town for a couple of days and treated us to lots of great food: grilled cheese at Melt, BBQ at B&M, and Thai at Mint Cafe. I had my end of the year voice recital. (Unfortunately I don’t have any pictures because we brought the camera without the battery.) We also got to see Hubble at the Omnimax Theater at the Science Center. Space continues to astound me, it is so beautiful and reminds me of the eternal nature of things. Saturday we were joined by Cassie, Doug and Archer. We had a BBQ picnic and visited the West Side Market, Edgewater Park- with its beach, and continued to enjoy good food! (Seeing a trend here- oh how I love family get togethers!) While it was a quick visit by all it was wonderful to have them.

Brecklyn is considering becoming a Baker (Baketrice?) some day. Judging on her chocolate cake I think she has good chances. I told her I would visit her bakery frequently if she made delectable treats like these.

These poison apples however might prevent her from achieving her goal.

Oh so fine!

Playing in the sprinklers after a very hot day!

We have felt so blessed to have family close and other family that is able and willing to travel to visit us. Our home has so often been frequented by guests and we love it. Some dear friends of ours used to keep a guest log, maybe I should start- just for fun- what do you say?
