Last Saturday was University Circle’s “Parade in the Circle” the city’s big day of festivities. Tom went about four years ago but I had never been. I had seen pictures and was excited to take the girls. Despite the fact that it postponed our trip to Athens to see Trevor and Lauren we were all thrilled we stayed to witness this magnificently creative and entertaining parade. The theme was Africa.
Most of the “floats” were made of recycled material.
A couple of days before we watched the artist who painted these masks.
Learning to walk on stilts may just be on my “to do” list for life!
These guys were my favorite
One of the members of the band who were flown in from Africa as guest artists.
This guy had serious soul.
Afterward the girls got to make African banners using stamps and ink.
