First, thanks to all my sibs for their kind support. I was at a Women’s conference this weekend for church. One of the teaching sessions was on maintaining your mental health and the presenter made the comment, everyone should have seven people that they can trust to talk openly with. Thank goodness I have SEVEN siblings.

I also wanted to pass along the news that my audition paid off. I’m on the call back list for the part I want, Annchen. There are two others that were also called back. So we’ll all sing again on Thursday. I found out yesterday morning and was nervous all day and could hardly focus at church with all the thoughts of the upcoming audition wizzing through my head. Finally at the end of the day this thought came to me. In high school when we went into a shoot-out in soccer. Bill would always include me in the list of girls that would shoot on the goal. He said “because, even under pressure, you can keep your head on straight.” The thought brought me great peace. Who knows what the results will be, the other two girls are also fabulous singers. Each of us would sing the part beautifully, so as long as I can give another focused polished performance on Thursday, I’ll be happy. That’s all that is in my control.
