I was just flipping through photos deleting any that weren’t worth saving when I noticed this one. I took this picture last summer when we took Lauren and her kids to the West Side Market here in Cleveland. I had never noticed that this man had waved and smiled as I shot the picture. I love it- look at his face, he’s thrilled. Brigette and I were discussing the service aspect of photography. There are so many people in this world who have never had a picture of themselves taken. Pictures document life, they show that someone thought it was important enough to record. With the new camera Tom and I got for Christmas I hope I can use it as a means of bringing joy to others’ lives by showing them that I think their life is worth recording!
