So, we’re back from China, and have been for nearly two weeks now. (Though I have a few more posts about Tibet, just for my own record’s sake- and hopefully for your enjoyment.) It’s been a bit strange adjusting to “real life.” Grocery shopping, doing laundry, and attending to chores never felt more novel or exciting! We’re now in Seattle. We’ve moved into our little summer rental, and, believe it or not, made an offer on a home on Tuesday. (No rest for the weary!)
We think the rhubarb plant under the front window is a sign- this house was made for us! wink.
We’re super excited about it. It’s a four bedroom two bath home (Which is ridiculously hard to come by in our price range.) It has a mid-century modern style with a beautiful vaulted ceiling in the living room, and large windows throughout. We’re thrilled that it has a basement and lots of cabinet space in the kitchen. but mostly, we’re excited about the cozy private backyard. We’ve been up late into the night since our offer was accepted dreaming and planning about ways we can change the house to be more “us.” So, if you’re into before and afters. . .
I have a lot of backlogged blogging to do. So, bear with me as the timing will surely be crazy!
