While Sabina was here we picked out a paint color for my front door. I wanted something that would make it pop and would draw you in. We decided on Aztec brick by Benjamin Moore. I painted it yesterday and I”m thrilled with the results.

Unfortunately, the after shot is taken at dusk so the lighting is a bit dark, but you get to see the neat leaded windows on the door. And the warm light from inside is inviting isn’t it? I love how the new door color makes my terracotta pots pop. (Which can I just say, don’t they look great! My cannas have finally filled in, and I’ve been thrilled with my choice to use them.)
I’m thinking about putting our address in vinyl lettering on the front of the door- right under the three windows. What do you think?
I’m also planning on hanging a decorative hanging pot rod on the left hand side, with a pot. Is that getting to be too many pots? What else is this porch calling for?
