Saturday is usually my day to work on the house, but last Saturday, I had an eight hour rehearsal. So Tom decided to work for me! Talk about a great Valentines present! Here’s what he did.
Finally tiled infront of our new door. The old door was in line with the wall, but when Tom and his Dad put in the new door we had that little space, we had covered it up with a rug since July. But when we realized we were getting a lot of cold air underneath, we decided it was time to make an end to our laziness! Now I just need to grout!
Added this threshold and weather stripping. Our kitchen actually stays warm now!!!!
And cut the wood trim for around the fireplace. I was super impressed by this job because he did it all with his hand saw. And the corners are perfect. We just need to nail it down and grout between the tile and the wood. Whew! Check, check, Check!
