Spring is busting out all over!

For weeks we Clevelanders have been bemoaning the late onset of spring. Then I was reminded of the most recited phrase in grade school- “April Showers bring May flowers.” Suddenly I was aware that Clevland is not the only place where flowers come up “late.” Regardless with a few sunny days and more coming Spring has finally arrived. (If not summer!) Here’s are some photos from the yard.

These are the bulbs I planted last fall. The only thing that hasn’t come up are the allium. They are just green as of now, we’ll see if they eventually bloom.

These tulips were already here. I love them against the bright backdrop of the forsynthia.

I share this picture because this is one of the peonies that Tom and I transplanted last year. We moved three of them and they are all coming up beautifully.

Here’s more tulips from the back. I have been really happy with the colors I chose. These are the ones I bought from Costco and so I had a choice over the colors. I just love red tulips- and I love the red accent veins in the white ones.

The other things that I have learned rises well in spring is bread. Last night Tom and I made pizza-entirely from scratch and it turned out delicious. Here’s a few pictures just for fun. (I am hoping to take LOTS of pictures this summer, so I can learn how to use my camera so you might get some random stuff on here!)

In the oven.

Ready to eat!
