In reference to my post two times ago, I thought this picture demonstrates what one is looking for as they develop their “green eye.” Several days ago I noticed that this cucumber was sending out feelers that it would then wrap around anything nearby- aka a basil plant and a pepper plant. I didn’t realize I had purchased a climber, but it became readily obvious. So I added this homemade obelisk to give it something to grow up. Already it has attached two feelers to the sticks.

Also notice, that this little guy is calling for water- see how his leaves are wilted. I might need to start watering twice a day if this heat keeps up!
