My sister and I were in a debate about what these gorgeous white-blossomed bushes were. She thought they were a kind of lace cap hydrangea and I thought they were a type of viburnum. I’m afraid I won- they’re viburnum. Of course there are lots of different kinds of viburnum, But I think if you can identify the plant species you’re doing pretty well. Especially in the beginning. Here’s a picture of a bloom close up, that was growing wild at Horseshoe lake.
