Last week Tom gave me the goal to take a picture every day. I really enjoyed the daily task, here’s my week:
Monday
I have been antsy about moving into our house, and I finally identified that a large part of that anticipation is the knowledge that the later we move in, the harder it will be to have a really fruitful garden. So I finally decided to just go a head and buy some veggies and flowers and plant them in pots. This picture shows the spiky onions amongst the small pots filled with flowers, and the larger pots have peppers and tomatoes. We already have three little green Romas!
Tuesday
This is a neighbor’s house. I love how earthy it is. I love the stone work under the columns and the neutral color of the home. Sabina, the tree on the left is the one I was referring to when I called you. Does anyone know if that is just a different variety of Dogwood?
Wednesday
Sorry, this is a strange picture. Ever since I got burned in Mexico, after I run I get these little bubbles of sweat forming under my skin. You can pop them, and a little pool of sweat will ooze out. Weird eh?
Thursday
This is the plate Tom and I bought at a market in Mexico. I just love the vibrant colors and elaborate painting. Sabina suggested I use it as an inspiration piece to help me choose colors for my kitchen. I hadn’t opened it up since we brought it home as I figured I would just keep it wrapped until we moved. But as that move keeps getting farther away I pulled it out and have it displayed in my kitchen.
Friday
Thursday I went into Cleveland with Tom in the morning. I spent the day checking out the library by our new house, looking for a project at a near by Goodwill, and picking out paint colors. Here is an example of several I picked out. The flash change the colors quite drastically, but at least you get an idea. The left side is for the kitchen, the right for the living room/ dining room area. Surprisingly the second card from the left normally looks white- that is what we will paint our cabinets. I want to paint the chairs in the kitchen nook in the red, and will probably paint the walls the yellow. I haven’t decided what color I will put where in the living room.
Saturday
Here they are! I am so excited. I went to a local flee market this morning and found these great solid oak chairs. I got the four of them for $40.00! As I mentioned before, I am thinking about painting them red, but recent pictures on line have me thinking perhaps I will paint each a different color. See the pictures on this and this link for pictures of what I am talking about. Any ideas or other photos?
