My sister-in-law Adrienne gave me a three month subscription to Birchbox for Christmas. (Basically I get a little gift box of beauty samples each month.) I’ve only recieved January’s so far, but have really enjoyed it. I tried blue nail polish for the first time, which I originally disliked. It has since grown on me. It’s less serious than a pink or red hue- more chill. I was thrilled to get a sample of Juicy Couture perfume- (Adi wears Juicy Couture and I LOVE it. Everytime I’m around her I think- I’ve got to get some of that!) Funny that I would randomly get sent some. Now I’m hooked. I’ve found bright pink lipgloss has an amazing way of energizing my face and bringing out my blue eyes.
The last sample was called EBOOST- Daily Health Booster. Its just one of those packages of vitamans that you stir into a glass of water. Or so I thought. I’d read over the back and it looked similar to Emergen-C. Except with high dosages of Vitamin D, C and B-12. It’s sat on my dresser since early January. Finally sick of looking at it, I decided to try it out this afternoon. It was 3:00 and I was feeling tired. Now we’ll see if this thing works- I smirked, knowing that it wouldn’t. Around 6:30 as I was zipping around picking up the house, cleaning the dishes with gusto, and planning a full evening for myself I realized- Hey! that thing really worked! That’s incredible. Thinking I must be defincient in a few of the vitamins it contained I read the back of the package again. This time I kept reading past the Supplement Facts to where it said EBOOSTBlend: – 1,055 mg The first ingredient Green tea extract (caffeine). Of course! Well, what can I say it worked! (Though I feel an unnatural amount of energy pulsing through my body right now.) I personally choose not to take caffeine, because of its addictive nature and potential health side effects. I’d rather control my energy level through good eating habits, exercise and proper sleep. But man, would a pick-me-up like that be nice every day around 3:00!
