Tom and I have been so delighted by all of your interest in our house purchasing process. We just hope you are all just as interested in helping us fix it up when we move in! (wink, wink) Just kidding. (Kind of.) The bank gave us a counter offer yesterday for basically $48,000 (really $50,000 plus 3% towards closing costs) We countered with $42k plus 3%. We should hear back with in the next day of two of whether they want to counter or accept our offer. 

    I have been using my “study break” time to research places to buy scratch and dent appliances, and used furniture. I have been pleasantly surprised by the availability of such stores in and around Cleveland. I also ordered a three year subscription to “Better Homes and Gardens” (for the fabulous price of $20.) And I have been checking out home magazines galore from the public library. I’m more than a little anxious to get into the house and get working! For better or worse we will most likely not be able to get into the house until late June, which will give me lots of time to fulfill my duties as Vice Pres. of Getti’s Accessories, as well as plan our Mexico trip.
