I just read saw this on the New York times and thought it was too funny to pass up:
One of the competitors took a tumble during a high-heeled sprint in Belgrade, Serbia. Some 90 women took part in the race, wearing shoes with a required minimum heel height of more than three inches, competing for an award of 3,000 euros, or about $4,800.

Oh man! I run in heels practically every day! If only I’d known about the race! I think they should offer more money than that, however, considering the risk involved. Maybe if we run in heels next time I’ll be able to keep with you. 😉 Love you!
