After two weeks visiting family in Utah: We’re back! We had a wonderful time. Scotland was a champ. After a few days of “What on earth is going on here!” he adapted to the chaos and soon embraced it. (Needless to say, he has slept TONS since we got back. Recovery attempt?) Scotland has four cousins within six months of him: Brielle, Claire (with whom he shares a birthday), Keiton, and Caleb (who arrives next month.) The last time we got together was Christmas, and Craig joked it was like a maternity ward with so many Pregos lying around. This time it was definitely a nursery!
Brielle and Scotland’s first reactions to each other
One of the things I enjoyed most was seeing how each baby’s personality played out against the others’. Scotland is a smiley kid but in a more subdued quiet way than Brielle. She’s more the extrovert type. She has a ready smile and an eager laugh. On the other hand, Scotland comes across a bit more “polite” in his requests than Brielle. When she wants something she wants it NOW! Claire as a third child, comes across more patient, more willing to entertain herself, more content to take on the listening role. Keiton at one month, was hard to read. But he comes off calm and kind, a gentle spirit. Caleb, well, he’s still in utero!
At first, Brielle didn’t take to Scotland’s gentlemanly way of saying hello.
But by the end of the trip, it was Scotland who was unsure of Brielle’s advances.
Regardless, they’re destined to be buds.

My favorite shot is the one where they are both staring at the toys hanging down while their heads are touching. Each of the kids was soooo cute! It was great to see you all.
