The first month of Scotland’s life went really slow, the second month flew. Where did April go? I can’t believe my little boy is already two months old. Here’s a few pictures of him, and here’s a few more, if more is what you want! (My greatest fear as a mother: that I will inundate others with pictures and stories about my child. wink!)
Scotter is smiling a lot these days. He has this wide mouth grin where he’ll throw his head back and open his mouth up wide like this and then squeal.
Scotter sporting his pout- check out those lips!
I love this picture, not only because it highlights his adorable chubby cheeks but it shows his sweet spirit. I get these kind happy eyes often and they melt me.
Things I love:
- the way he holds onto the collar of your shirt when you hold him in the crook of your arm or feed him
- his squeals
- his whimpers
- his full body stretch after I release him from his swaddle in the morning
- how happy he is when you change his diaper
- his hugs in the middle of the night
- his squeaky cries
- his love of the outdoors
Scotland’s Skills:
Only waking up once during the night- or sleeping through the night!
sucking on his hands
blowing bubbles
looking and batting at toys
spontaneous smiles
Cooing as he looks you in the eyes and smiles

That is one beautiful baby. I do feel like I can start to see his spirit shining through. He seems to have a pleasant, kind soul. I love the nest picture. You’ve got to make a spring collage wall with that. Maybe it could be a Christmas gift for one of your sisters that loves birds?!
Thanks! I was going to post those two pictures, but decided to wait until I have the whole story. I can’t wait until the little birdies hatch. The picture of the bird is nice but too dark for on a wall. I’ll have to keep trying. I just don’t want to scare her away!
So you know: GRANDMAs are always willing to look at more photos, especially if they live far away. Photos everyday would be fine with me.
Handsome, handsome boy!
