Where did the month go? I am absolutely stunned that four weeks have passed already. Wow! Meanwhile, this little guy has completely consumed my life, but no worries, I’ve been happy to hand it over to him. I think this photo appropriately shows the sort of “reign” our son has in our lives.
No, Scotland doesn’t sleep in our bed, but sometimes I lay him down here for naps while I get ready.
Here’s a few things I love about him:
How he nods his wrists when he stretches
How he arks himself until his head is nearly touching his bum while stretching
How he tightly puckers his lips to signal he is done eating
His whimpers
His smiles
How crazy upset he gets when he pees his pants
How calm he is when you change his diaper
How alert and curious he is
How he sleeps with his hands above his head
How he pretends to gag when he REALLY doesn’t want the pacifier
How he quiets when I play the piano
How he cuddles on my chest and listens to me sing lullabies at night
His pirate eye
His little cough when he sucks in too much milk
His long black hair
His skinny legs
How happy he is in the morning

I received Scotland’s birth announcement today. He really is so precious!!! Happy one month birthday to you, Little Buddy!
Oh little newborns are so sweet! It’s so fun reading what you love about him, it takes me back to the newborn stages and those are seriously the sweetest little things! It’s good that you wrote them down, because before you know it he’ll be doing new, adorable things and you’ll almost forget all of this. You are such a great mom Kjirsti!
