Scotland- 7.5 months
- Two teeth
- crawling on hands and knees- fast!
- lots of hair growth- both in length and thickness
- immitating speech- when I say “Say: Babo, babo, babo.” (Daddy in Italian) He’s respond: “ba ba ba.” His favorite, however, “Mamamama!”
- high pitch experimentation
- pulling himself to a stand everywhere. He took three steps along the tub at Brigette’s, and four steps along the couch yesterday.
- playing chase with Brielle
- loves spoons, grabs spoon when I feed him
- gets upset when you take things from him
- smiles at everyone
- laughing more
- playing with books, opening them up and looking at them
- spinning full circle when I change his diaper. (The other day I had him bound ankle and he spun completely around and started crawling away- wheelbarrow style!)
- still not a big solid-foods eater
- He had his first cracker at the airport and LOVED it!
- sippy cup is still a toy
- Continues to play independantly well
- loves chewing on pieces of fruit- apples, plums
- loves looking at himself in mirrors
- pincer grasps ANYTHING on the floor and eats it. (Sigh!)
- LOVES chewing paper, and plastic bags. (Sigh!)
- always content when outside
“Check out my new teeth!”
(I didn’t realize until I did this photoshoot that he is holding his mouth weird. His upper teeth are coming in, and you can see they’re paining him. This lip posture reminds me of kids the week after they get braces.)
I had just changed a major blowout (we’re having a LOT of those lately) and had taken the clothes to the bathroom to spot, when I returned and found him like this. Melt! My little reader.
