Faces

It’s common knowledge that I’m obsessed with my son. I’m pretty sure he is the cutest baby I’ve ever birthed. I was trying to capture him sitting in his new high chair. He already looks so comfortable in it, so old. At times as we’re eating lunch together and chatting, his knowing looks leave me expecting some sort of adult response. Instead, I get silence, and these expressive faces:

“I’ve never thought about it that way before.”

<polite chuckle>

“Personally, I find zucchini to be rather gourmet!”

Mom, you make the best yellow squash!”

This is the face I get most often: “I hate to tell you mom, but this really isn’t the best batch of peas you’ve ever made!”
